Check out these titles and resources that explore the history, culture, experiences and achievements of African Americans.

 

The recommended YA book of the month is Carver: A Life in Poems by Marilyn Nelson. The field museum of natural history in Chicago just opened an exhibit on the life and works of George Washington Carver.

 

B.O.O.K: Theatre with a Spine will perform scenes from Carver: A Life in Poems in the Loft on March 16, and award-winning author and poet Marilyn Nelson will be here!!

    Hi Melissa!
    We do have eBooks (and eAudiobooks)! Most of them are through a service called “My Media Mall.” In the catalog, they say [electronic resource (eBook)] or [electronic resource (eAudiobook)]. All you need is an Evanston library card and you can download them to your computer!
