…and the newest cast members for the movie of Percy Jackson are: Uma Thurman as Medusa, and Pierce Brosnan will play the god Chiron. They join Sean Bean as Zeus, Kevin Kidd as Poseidon and Melina Kanakerides (CSI: NY) as Athena. Percy will be played by 17-year-old Logan Lerman. The movie is scheduled for release on Feb. 12, 2010.
Chris Columbus, the director, plans to begin filming later this month in Vancouver.

I think the people who chose the cast should switch the part of Selena and Annabeth. At least thats how I imagined it when I read the book….
Logan Lerman as Percy would be good, but he’s 17!!! He’s supposed to be playing a kid who’s in sixth grade! I don’t think he could pull it off; Josh Hutcherson would be a lot better.
